Turkish Banks Association (TBB) prepared a work by using the credit information which is got from the banks and financial institutions. TBB president Aydın, evaluated the results of the work. He explained that housing loans are growing faster than the other types of the individual loans.
The work which is prepared by the
Turkish Banks Association Risk Center stated that housing loan amount and the number of people use this credit are steadily increasing. The president of the TBB Hüseyin Aydın said that the rate of these loans to the national income is increased by 2 points in 2016. The rate is now 7%.
Over 2Million People Used The Housing Loan

TBB President made some important explanations about the
housing loans. He said:
“By the end of the 2016, the number of people used housing loans exceeds 2 million! The most preferred credit part is 100-150 thousand TL. The most preferred maturity is 8 years. The age interval which is the most uses the housing credit is 31-41. When we compare these results with the Europe countries we can say that there is a big growth potential of the housing loans. So, we expect the demand will continue. But in order to fix the financial possibilities in housing sector, the housing loans must come to the capital market through securitization. “
Stability Is Important For The Markets
The share of the housing loans is increased in the
individual loans. Hüseyin Aydın also said that the sources are short –termed but the housing loans maturities are average of 7 years. Aydın told that the stability is very important.
